Donald M. JohnsonBiography Born: 06/05/1945, Concord, MA I lived around New England and eventually graduated Concord Carlisle HS in 1964. I had joined the Naval Reserve in 1962. So attempted college after graduating. A most incredible failure. So I went on active duty. I was sent to Fleet Sonar School, Key West NS, FL. I progressed from A School to B School, finally graduating from C School in June of 1966. I re-enlisted into the regular Navy and was assigned to Sea Duty on the USS Ault, DD698 for the next 5 years. The ship served in the Tonkin Gulf providing escort and coastal gunfire support for the Southeast Asian US Naval Fleet. We served several coastal mission and took hostile fire at least 4 times. In 1971 my enlistment expired and I left the Navy as an E-5. I enlisted immediately in the US Air Force and completed 22yrs and 2 months service and retired in July of 1985. From there I performed System Engineering and Program Management for a Contract Support company for 5 yrs. In 1990, I graduated Franklin Pierce College with a Cum Laude Bachelors degree in Business Management. My company laid me off when the industry was reduced, so I did some Contractor Support freelance work writing proposals for bid. Engineering system support was for communications and security systems. Program support included managing 2 MilSpec technical manual programs. From 1991 to 2010 I drove commercial semis with a CDL-A license. I logged approximate 1.7 million miles, accident free 1 year nationwide then the rest all over New England and New York. I got married in 1968 after returning from Vietnam and we had 2 children. 1st - daughter, Aug. 29, 1971; 2nd - son Jan. 24, 1976. Now son is married and has a son and daughter. My first wife passed away from a stroke in Jun. of 2011. I have since remarried in 2013 to my dear Pat. We drive for Enterprise part time 3 days a week. My family goes back as all of our families do for centuries. My parent's family's have been researched and the result is a direct connection a number of significant contributors to our founders and the documents they gave us. All that precedes is to convey the depth of my commitment to this country. I have watched the decline of both parties and their lack of focus on what is best for the country to where we are today. Clinton's personal foibles drove me to run for the New Hampshire state Senate in the 1996. I lost, but during that time I wrote a multi media presentation titled "Citizenship For Better America". Now consider my surprise, and delight when in December of 2013 someone suggested a new party. I joined the fray with deep interest and delight and was privileged to provide some level of input. My reason was simple: I belive, as my family has for generations, in this country and what it stands for. Maybe we have strayed, or lost our collective sense of direction, but our cornerstone of founding documents are firmly grounded and well entrenched. The rapid growth of this party - faster than any previous party ever - indicates 2 things to me. 1. The tremendous dedication and effort of the founders and the party leaders at all levels. 2. The incredibly rapid growth due to the same love of country of our fellow countrymen. If I can, in some way, contribute further to the country by serving the party then I will gladly, humbly, and proudly give it my best shot.

I have been married for 33 years to the same loving man. I have 2 grown children and 3 beautiful Grandchildren. It is for my Grandchildren and their children that I devote the majority of my time to the Veterans Party of America. We must save our Great Country for future generations. I do not ever want my grandchildren to ask me: Grammy, what was it like to have Freedom? We must make the changes now before it is too late for our country to be saved. The two party system has become one party. They NO LONGER represent WE THE PEOPLE. It is time for a new party to be part of our Government to restore the true checks and balances. To make sure WE THE PEOPLE are the interests of our Government. Big businesses, lobbyist nor foreign government should be catered to before the AMERICAN PEOPLE. My parents raised me to love my country and respect my Government. But when my Government stops respecting me and stops representing me, it is time for a change. We elect THEM the REPRESENT US, NOT EVERYONE ELSE BUT US.
